Psychotherapy
Taking good care of your mind is as important as taking good care of any other part of your body.
When should you seek a therapist? The simplest answer is when you are not feeling as happy as you used to or as you wish to.
Psychotherapy enhances mental health by looking objectively at your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
I like to see myself as a partner in this process. You can expect to be asked lots of questions, share feelings and be committed to change.
My mission is to bring out awareness, foster understanding, create change and personal growth in you.
Another important aspect is the relationship with the therapist, feeling comfortable and being able to trust is an important part of the process. I will give you regular feedback, so you can objectively assess your progress and ask for feedback as well.
My treatment approach incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic theory, and NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming).
My diverse background (born in Brazil, lived in Germany and immigrated to the USA) enables me to work with a multicultural clientele.
